About Mrs. GillelandA little about me:
I was born and raised in Ireland and decided after graduating University to travel. I spent four years teaching English in Seoul, South Korea where I was extremely lucky to be able to travel and see many countries, along with meeting my husband there! We moved to North Carolina in 2006 where I taught ELA for five years before becoming an Academic Coach. We recently moved back to Georgia after my husband retired from the military and are so excited to call this area home! We have two children Conor who is 11 and Erin who is 9, and they both keep us busy! We also have a dog called Bella, and two cats named Miles and Lilly. When I am not working we spend lots of time traveling, hiking, exploring in our jeep, fishing, and watching the children playing sports. We like to go to the movies or bowl when it is too cold to be outdoors! I have a Bachelors Degree in English, and a Masters Degree and Specialist Degree in Education. I have been teaching since I was in my sophomore year of college and absolutely love what I do. I am so excited for the upcoming year and to be able to begin a new chapter in my career in Georgia right here in Jasper Middle!! |
